Levi’s has embraced AI and ML to stay ahead of the curve.

Levi Strauss beating the pandemic- Supply Chain Tribe by Celerity

Harmit Singh, Executive Vice-President and CFO at Levi Strauss & Co, said that just before the pandemic, the brand introduced its loose fit or baggy jeans. This became a hit in the WFH culture. Levi’s also got into the activewear segment after acquiring fitness and activewear brand Beyond Yoga in 2021. Diversification in this manner helped the company.

The company was also agile in managing the impediments due to global supply chain crisis of ports congestion, reducing imports from China to less than 1% and having a diversified supply chain.

Levi’s has also been investing heavily on technology in sales and supply chain. The company’s journey with artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) started three years ago and is reaping benefits now.
