In order to give original equipment manufacturers and automotive suppliers access to a variety of services, such as warehousing, logistics, assembly, and light manufacturing with an established, MBE-certified provider, Gentex Corporation (NASDAQ: GTX) and Wolverine Assemblies, LLC today announced the formation of a joint venture.

On Wednesday, May 1, at the Michigan Minority Procurement Conference at Huntington Place in Detroit, a roundtable discussion on growing MBEs Through Ecosystem Collaboration will be held. Gentex President and CEO Steve Downing, Wolverine President and CEO Al Hall, and TAG Holdings, LLC Chairman and CEO Joseph Anderson will present the specifics of the partnership and its advantages.

Our approach to involving and assisting MBEs in their leadership and development within the automotive sector and beyond is exemplified by our partnership with Wolverine. Wolverine's reputable supply chain management services directly benefit Gentex, and we're excited to help them grow going forward," added Downing.

Wolverine presently offers warehousing, assembly, logistics, and a range of supply chain management services out of a 200,000 square foot facility in Wixom. In order to grow along with a reputable, MBE-certified supplier, Wolverine is looking for early adopter OEMs and suppliers. The company intends to expand its capabilities to include electronics manufacturing.

Since Wolverine has been in operation for about 15 years, we are familiar with this sector, according to Hall.
