This investment will enable Walmart to increase capacity to receive and ship products to stores, and inventory accuracy

Walmart has bought 11.1% stock of the supply chain AI company, Symbiotic Inc., while getting 4.3% of the voting power. This does not come as a surprise given the pre-existing partnership between both companies along with the announcement from Walmart back in May regarding it wanting to bring Symbotic’s automation technology to all 42 of its regional distribution centers over the next 8 years.

Symbiotic’s technology will increase Walmart’s capacity to receive and ship products to stores, increase its inventory accuracy and, also, help reduce time-consuming, labor-intensive work.
