Sonowal Inaugurates National Technology Centre for Ports, Waterways and Coasts in Chennai - Supply Chain Tribe by Celerity

Former Chief Minister of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal, inaugurated the National Technology Centre for Ports, Waterways and Coasts (NTCPWC) at the Discovery Campus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras in Chennai. The NTCPWC is a state-of-the-art research and development facility that will focus on developing innovative technologies and solutions for the country's ports, waterways, and coasts.

In his speech, Sonowal emphasized the importance of the NTCPWC in driving the growth of the maritime sector in India. He also highlighted the need for greater investment in research and development to address the challenges facing the sector, such as climate change and environmental degradation.

The NTCPWC is expected to collaborate with other research institutions, industry partners, and government agencies to develop new technologies and solutions that will improve the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of India's ports, waterways, and coasts.
