Oracle has enhanced the Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM) with new user experience (UX) features, including price rules for order management.
The business announced on Tuesday that these upgrades are made using the consumer-grade Oracle Redwood Design System and are intended to help field service personnel, product managers, procurement specialists, and logistics managers.
Chris Leone, executive vice president of applications development at Oracle, stated in the announcement that "Oracle Cloud SCM customers can increase the speed and accuracy of operations, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency with the latest Redwood user experience updates."
According to the announcement, price rules for order management is one of the new features of the platform that enables businesses to automate discounts and boost the effectiveness of sales promotions.
According to the announcement, field parts inventory for maintenance is another improvement that aids service personnel in managing parts inventory, reservations, transfers, and returns while they are out in the field.
According to the release, the platform now has a structures view for product management that aids in the analysis and validation of component item and bill of materials information by product managers, as well as a guided task for mass component replacement that helps organizations minimize errors and increase user efficiency when carrying out a mass replacement of a component on one or more item structures.
According to the release, Leone stated, "Supply chain professionals must navigate numerous challenges at every step of the supply chain with speed and accuracy." "A poor user experience can increase frustration, cause further delays, and increase costs in this high-stakes environment."
PYMNTS Intelligence and Corcentric collaborated on a report titled "Digital Payments: Modernizing Procurement Processes," which states that retail and manufacturing organizations are investing in digital technology to enhance procurement operations and minimize business disruptions brought on by possible future supply chain breakdowns.
According to the survey, 42% of manufacturers and 31% of retailers have already made investments in procurement technology upgrades, while 44% of manufacturers and 53% of retailers aim to do the same.
Oracle said in March that it had upgraded its Fusion Cloud Applications Suite once more, adding new generative artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities and integrating them into the company's current business operations in the areas of finance, supply chain, human resources, sales, marketing, and service.
