DUBAI: Kuehne+Nagel kicked off the building of a new fulfillment and distribution center in EZDubai, a designated e-commerce zone in Dubai South, with a groundbreaking ceremony. EZDubai is connected to Jebel Ali Port through a bonded logistics corridor and is near Al Maktoum International Airport.

Customers will have simple access to a range of logistics solutions thanks to the new center's strategic position and excellent connectivity, which will serve as a hub for trade throughout the region. Within the bonded logistics corridors, they can take advantage of the waiver of customs clearance processes, which guarantees the effectiveness and dependability of their operations.

Lee I'Ons, Managing Director of Kuehne+Nagel's GCC+ Cluster, said, "With the development of this new e-commerce fulfilment centre, Kuehne+Nagel continues to show commitment to the UAE and Dubai, supporting one of the fastest growing economies globally." "Our customers can now conduct business more easily in Dubai and throughout the region thanks to the new facility."

"We are pleased to witness the groundbreaking of Kuehne+Nagel's new facility, which will be of great added value to the logistics sector," said Mohsen Ahmad, CEO of the Logistics District, Dubai South. With our cutting-edge services and solutions, we are dedicated to bolstering the company's expansion and growth and enhancing Dubai's standing as a major worldwide logistics hub.

Aldar Development's CEO, Jonathan Emery, stated: "We are thrilled to extend our development expertise to create a state-of-the-art fulfilment centre for Kuehne+Nagel at Dubai South, one of the most well-connected logistics hubs in the UAE. This is in line with our strategic focus to deliver Grade A facilities for local and international logistics providers."

The new fulfillment center will have about 23,000 square meters of cutting-edge storage space, or roughly 45,000 pallet slots, and be built in accordance with LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver standards. The wide range of value-added services will be advantageous to the clients as well. The second quarter of 2025 is when the center is expected to be fully operational. Aldar Properties and Dubai South built the website.
