Florida International Terminal Enhances Operations with Advent eModal's Community Portal - Supply Chain Tribe by Celerity

The successful installation of its eModal® Community Portal (eCP) at Florida International Terminal (FIT) at Port Everglades was announced today by Advent eModal (AeM), the largest port community system in the world serving the intermodal supply chain. Through this implementation, port operations and intermodal logistics are improved as the sophisticated PreGate and Fee Manager programs are integrated into the all-inclusive eCP system.

After our appointment systems were successfully implemented at Port Everglades Terminal, LLC, we are excited to see Florida International Terminal using our eModal platform, said Hilda M. Rodriguez, Customer Success Manager at Advent eModal. "FIT's dedication to enhancing operational effectiveness and enhancing service delivery for motor carriers and truckers throughout the region is demonstrated by this implementation."

AeM's PreGate and Fee Manager programs are effortlessly integrated into the Community Portal via the eModal platform. This module is essential for improving cargo visibility, making fee payments easier, and handling appointment scheduling in its entirety. By automating container terminal operations with these tools, FIT will improve cargo handling and shorten turnaround times for the terminal and its stakeholders.

Glenn Wiltshire, Acting Port Director for Port Everglades, stated, "FIT's commitment to the port's operational efficiency is evident between the recent 10-year extension of their lease and the introduction of the eModal program, which we anticipate will improve traffic flow through their terminal and the Southport cargo area."

The capacity of the system to function as a one-stop shop is crucial for managing payments and containers throughout their lifecycle. Having better control over drivers' schedules, dispatchers may now coordinate moves between terminals in the area that have integrated the eModal system more effectively. Mainsail 10, the next-generation terminal operating system solution from Tideworks Technology, was also deployed. Operators can obtain better insights throughout the terminal thanks to AeM's connection with Mainsail 10.

Appointment scheduling and operations are streamlined by the integration of eModal at both FIT and Port Everglades Terminal, according to Palmetto Transport CEO Alberto Bello. "Truckers and motor carriers will find this improvement useful as it will simplify our work and demonstrate to other terminals the advantages of implementing this system for improved supply chain and logistics management."

The increased effectiveness and convenience of use for motor operators of AeM's Community Portal at more terminals throughout South Florida would boost the local shipping industry tremendously. AeM is dedicated to carrying on with its support for terminals such as FIT, encouraging the adoption of cutting edge technology to optimize operations and enhance logistics for all parties participating in the multimodal supply chain.
