In order to assist shippers cut costs, FedEx will introduce a centralised returns service in 2023, the carrier stated on Monday.

At about 2,000 FedEx Office locations, FedEx Consolidated Returns will let consumers return things without a box or mailing label. The item will then be combined with other returns from various businesses and returned to the sender using FedEx Logistics' less-than-truckload option.

The service is promoted as a cost-effective alternative for shippers in the pricy reverse logistics industry, where the quantity of returns has increased dramatically since the epidemic.
