FedEx (FedEx), a subsidiary of FEDEX Corp. (NYSE: FDX), has won the Asia-Pacific Biopharma Excellence Awards 2024 (ABEA 2024) Best Logistics and Supply Chain Management Supplier: Last Mile Implementation in addition to being named Overall Logistics and Supply Chain Management Supplier of the Year.

ABEA 2024, hosted by Imapac, aims to honor outstanding supply chain management, logistics, and bioprocessing professionals in Asia, as well as clinical trials specialists, companies, and innovations.

FedEx has developed its healthcare capabilities over many years, utilizing its cold chain network and specialized health care team to transport vaccines, biologics, and medical supplies globally.

With four Life Science Centers in the region—South Korea, Japan, Singapore, and India—and a global network of more than 680 aircraft and 200,000 vehicles, FedEx facilitates the movement of health care shipments by utilizing temperature-controlled solutions and real-time monitoring with FedEx SenseAware to help safeguard shipment integrity.

The logistics requirements of the health care sector are extremely precise and strictly regulated. The greatest accolade we could hope for is to be acknowledged by the biopharma community through voting," stated Salil Chari, senior vice president of marketing and customer experience for FedEx Express's Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Africa region.

Hundreds of executives from the biopharma business came together for the ABEA 2024, which was held recently in conjunction with the 11th Biologics Manufacturing Asia, 8th BioLogistics World Asia, and 2nd Clinical Trials Festival Asia.
