'Emission Analytics Report' released by Mahindra Logistics allows for real-time carbon tracking - Supply Chain Tribe by Celerity

Mahindra Logistics claimed that it is launching a digital platform on India's 78th Independence Day that would help companies track and lower the carbon emissions from their supply chains.

On this, India's 78th Independence Day, Mahindra Logistics unveiled the 'Emission Analytics Report'. Customers may view their carbon emissions in real time using this digital tool, which is a part of Edel's green logistics ecosystem. It focuses on Scope 3 emissions related to transportation.

Through a monthly subscription model, the platform offers information on fuel consumption, emissions by transport mode, emissions intensity, tonne-kilometres, and emissions savings certificates. It may be accessed through a completely automated Software as a Service (SaaS) platform that has been certified by ISO 14083 and the Global Logistics Emission Council (GLEC). It can also be integrated into current web and mobile applications.

For a number of industries, including automotive, manufacturing, consumer products, retail, FMCG, mobility, medicines, e-commerce, fast commerce, and freight forwarding, it provides shipment-level reporting of Scope 3 emissions.

The publication of the "Emission Analytics Report" is a part of Mahindra Logistics Ltd.'s commitment to helping India achieve its objective of becoming Net-Zero by 2070 and developing a sustainable logistics network, according to Rampraveen Swaminathan, Managing Director and CEO.

Mahindra Logistics Ltd.'s Chief Sustainability & CSR Officer, Swayantani Ghosh, underlined the need of tackling climate change in the country's expanding economy. She emphasized that clients may track carbon footprints for shipments in real-time, obtain emission savings statistics, and assess decarbonization models with the Emission statistics Report, which is powered by AI with a focus on climate change.

Edel started off as a green last-mile freight delivery business and has now expanded to include carbon-neutral warehousing solutions and an electric vehicle fleet for last-mile delivery. The Emission Analytics Report is an extension of Edel. Mahindra Logistics' endeavor to assist companies in making the shift to more environmentally friendly logistics and sustainable supply chain practices is embodied in this initiative.
