CCEP’s dock management success using Mobiledock - Supply Chain Tribe by Celerity

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP), with more than 42,000 workers and a fleet of 700 vehicles that complete 1.8 million deliveries yearly throughout Australia, has modernised its dock processing to satisfy the needs of its vast supply chain. Its highly sought-after dock operations were expedited by its successful integration with Mobiledock.

Multiple communication channels caused CCEP, with its vast network covering Sales, Planning, Manufacturing, and Logistics, difficulties in synchronising different divisions. As a result, there were occasionally differences in the results of sales, planning, and delivery.

Even though CCEP's manufacturing locations need incoming raw material deliveries, not all of them produce all of the products. As a result, in addition to distributing to customers throughout Australia, a significant amount of goods must be shipped between the various locations across Australia.

Spreadsheets were used too often to schedule deliveries, which led to a number of inefficiencies including clogged docks, late carriers, and poor real-time visibility for stakeholders.

To expedite operations, CCEP implemented Mobiledock, a web dock appointment scheduling technology that runs in the cloud. With Mobiledock's user-friendly layout and configuration simplicity, CCEP was able to have complete control over both incoming and outgoing vehicle arrivals.

A real-time summary of dock activity was provided, communications were made simpler, and carrier relationships and operational efficiency were enhanced by the comprehensive data and reporting.

The ability to prioritise the loads is the largest problem that Mobiledock has resolved for us, according to Scott Schryver, CCEP's manager of digital, data, and insights as well as technical solutions.

"It has been a complete pleasure for us to be able to postpone the automated approvals for the interstate routes until we receive certain time-sensitive shipments within the system. All things considered, it has raised the degree of communication with our carriers and enhanced the visibility our site operations teams were pursuing.

Dock congestion was quickly decreased by CCEP, and its logistics operations became more efficient overall. Improving carrier partnerships, optimising scheduling, and gaining insights into dock usage were all made possible by Mobiledock instant. Mobiledock enabled CCEP better manage resources, improve deliveries, and uphold high service standards by centralising communications and providing real-time updates, which benefited the company's operations as well as carriers.
