Holt Logistics Packer Avenue Marine Terminal Enhances Gate Operations with Advent eModal PreGate System

Advent eModal PreGate System Improves Gate Operations at Holt Logistics Packer Avenue Marine Terminal - Supply Chain Tribe by Celerity

With the installation of PreGate at the Port of Philadelphia, Packer Avenue Marine Terminal, run by Greenwich Terminals LLC and a division of Holt Logistics Corp., has increased its use of Advent eModal's eModal Community Portal. AeM is the largest port community system in the world serving the intermodal supply chain. The Drayage Truck Registry (DTR), which registers and oversees drayage trucks operating within the port and its related intermodal facilities, is enhanced with the addition of the PreGate programme to the terminal.

Gate operations are improved by the terminal's integration of PreGate with DTR. In order to speed up the entry and exit processes, the programme enables truckers and shippers to make appointments in advance. Increased visibility and efficiency throughout the port are facilitated by eModal PreGate's connectivity with DTR, which also provides real-time information regarding changes to key appointment services including cargo availability, vessel scheduling, and yard and dispatch planning.

Greenwich Terminals LLC President David Whene stated, "Adding eModal PreGate will allow us to increase throughput at the port and supports our modernization strategies." The trucking community will have better experiences thanks to this initiative, which will increase visibility into important appointment data. We are further solidified as a major supply chain hub in North America by our continued modernization efforts to improve efficiency throughout terminal operations.

PreGate's integration improves communication with the motor carrier community by providing users and operators with up-to-date information on gate and yard conditions. PreGate lessens wait times and eases traffic at the terminal gates by pre-validating truck information. These improvements improve supply chain responsiveness and overall efficiency as well as security measures.

Logistics hubs like Packer Avenue Marine Terminal will be able to expand as their needs change thanks to the deployment of eModal PreGate, according to Parvez Mansuri, CEO of Advent eModal. "Advent eModal solutions enable our customers and partners to navigate the challenges of today's supply chain with predictability and transparency." As a dependable partner to East Coast port owners, AeM's ongoing partnership with Packer Avenue Marine port marks a noteworthy achievement."
