The CXO Genie MasterMind – 18th CSCO Summit CSCO Genie members catching-up in-person after a long time. Being the first ever hybrid event at CXO Genie, this networking conference had members joining fellow CXOs virtually as well.
As organizations look for ways to build sustainable growth and prosperous company culture, the event’s theme echoed the strategies and best practices that leaders can implement in their respective fields. The day-long event had some of the best emerging topics in the business world with eminent speakers engaging the audience with their inputs, lively activities and interactive QnA. The Summit commenced with an action-packed session on “Shaping Organizations for the Future” by Faridun Dotiwala, Partner – Mckinsey India. Faridun shared his insights on what it takes for organizations to be future ready – to be leaner, faster, more customer centric and the employer of choice. The session touched upon the history of adoption of new ways of working, discussed agility and means of adopting it. Another important aspect that was addressed was the underlying mindset, and how leaders can change them with a quick “on-the-spot” self-assessment.
Creating a more diverse workforce and providing open work culture is the need of the hour for organizations, especially being inclusive of LGBTQI community propelling thought leaders to take actions. The interactive Ignite Talk on “Creating Inclusive Workspaces” with renowned Transgender Activist, Laxmi Narayan Tripathi was an eye-opening session for the attendees. Our speaker spoke about how discriminatory socio-cultural norms and preconceived notions about LGBTQI community are continuing to move down equal opportunities for members of this community. She addressed the need of inclusive workplaces and how that requires awareness across hierarchies, strong HR and sexual harassment policies and belongingness for LGBTQI employees. Advocacy programmes and sensitivity trainings with top-down approach are essential to foster inclusive and safe environment for the community.
The networking luncheon saw the delegates interacting with each other and the speakers. Candid conversations and collaboration discussions were part of the free-flowing talks as members caught-up with each other. The Summit concluded with an exclusive talk with co-founders of Inflection Point Ventures, Ankur Mittal and Vinay Bansal. The session focussed on Angel investing and “Why Now is the Right Time to Invest”. With India emerging as a land for Startups, the session featured the current scenario of angel investing and how International VCs launching India focussed funds and Government impetus to the startup ecosystem.
